Please note: If Citavi doesn't start after the installation of the beta version, you may have an older version of the .NET Framework. These versions (.NET Framework 4.6.1 or previous) are faulty and should be updated. Please check for Windows Updates to get the newest version of the .NET Framework. Alternatively, you can uninstall the current beta version and re-install Citavi 6.4.0.35.

Update to Citavi 6.4 Now Available
The latest update to Citavi 6 is available for downloading. Citavi 6.4 has many improvements behind the scenes to make working with Citavi even smoother.
New features include:
- New Pickers for Firefox and Chrome. This video shows you how they work.
- In the Citavi Word Add-In you now can create a bibliography for each chapter. If you want, you can create an additional bibliography for the whole document, too. This video shows how.
- Citavi can now also search the full-text of all ePub files that were uploaded to a cloud project as an attachment.
- Citavi now uses Ably instead of Signal-R for communication between Citavi clients and the Citavi cloud.
- …and many other small improvements.
As always, each update also includes bug fixes for issues reported by Citavi users.
Citavi Cloud Connection Issues in November 2019
If you were working with a cloud project in November 2019, you may have noticed multiple error messages informing you that there was no connection to the cloud. However, the monitoring page http://status.citavi.com showed that all systems were running smoothly. Below we explain what caused this problem and what we have done to address it.
Update to Citavi 6.3 Now Available
The latest update to Citavi 6 has just been released. Citavi 6.3 has many improvements behind the scenes to make working with Citavi even smoother.
Citavi 6 is regularly updated. Previous updates in the past year included the following new features:
- A recycle bin for restoring accidentally deleted items
- Option to go offline when on a slow Internet connection
- Support for projects with team members in different time zones
- Faster creation of archive copies
- …And many other small improvements

We just released an updated version of Citavi 6 (Citavi 6.2.0.12). We encourage you to install this version so you can take full advantage of the new features and bug fixes listed below.
If an update notification does not appear automatically in Citavi, you can download and install the Setup at https://www.citavi.com/download. Your Citavi projects and settings will not be affected by the update, and it's not necessary to uninstall Citavi 6.0 before installing the update.
As always, this is a free update for all version 6 users.
